Guide to Restoration Gear

Well, it's been a long time. Actually, I kind of wonder how many people will read this.

As I mentioned in my last post several weeks ago, I haven't been playing my druids, and decided to start a new blog that better suited my new play style. However, I have been making little tweaks to some of the information already here, and thought it was time to address them.

With some encouragement from Amanna, I decided to finally finish the guide to Resto gear that I'd started so many months ago. My initial posts on weapons and accessories were VERY limited, so I went ahead and filled those out. I also added in the new gear made available in Patch 2.4.

In this guide, you won't find recommendations as to what I think is the best gear out there. What you will find are options; whether you're mostly a solo player or group up all the time, there are lots of different ways to get gear. This guide starts with the early quest rewards in Hellfire Peninsula, and goes all the way up through 10-man raids. My goal here was to make a list so that casual players and those getting ready to start raiding would be aware of what's out there for them.

The guide is broken up as follows:

Idols
Two-Handed Weapons
One-Handed Weapons with Off-Hands
Necklaces
Rings
Trinkets
Cloaks
Head and Shoulders
Chest, Wrist, and Hands
Waist, Legs, and Feet

All of the information I've gathered has come from these various sites:

Kaliban's Loot List
Lootables
WoWWiki
Wowhead

These are some great resources when you're looking for gear beyond what's listed here, such as PvP gear or damage caster gear to fill any possible holes you might have, or 25-man drops as you start progressing farther in the game.
